In 2016 the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) celebrates its 25 year anniversary This is both a reason for celebration and reflection This publication aspires to do just that The publication yon hold in your hand is part of a campaign to celebrate 25 years of FORUM-ASLA Our Struggle for Human Rights -25 years of FORUM-ASIA hopes to reflect on and learn from the past showcase accomplishments and look towards the future The publication features thematic chapters case-studies, spotlights on individuals and organisational profiles. While it is being published as part of all the anniversary of FORUM-ASIA it hopes to be of value for all that are or who desire to become involved with the human rights movement in Asia FORUM-ASIA is a network of human rights organisations from all over Asia Forum-ASIA's mission is to strengthen the human rights movement in Asia through advocacy capacity building and solidarity action It was established in 1991 and currently has more than 50 members in over 20 countries across the region
